1. What can I carry in Snack Bags?
Nuts, raisins, apple parts, your favorite cookies, community masks, shampoo bars, wraps, quiches, passports, jewelry, popcorn, figs, pencils, make-up, cheese cubes... The list is long. Basically almost everything you wish! 

2. What is the weight and size of Snack Bags?

The Snack Bags are available in a set of 3 sizes, Small, Medium and Large.
The Small Snack Bag measures 10 x 16 cm (LxW) and weights approx. 23 grams. The Medium Snack Bag measures 17 x 17 cm (LxW) and weights approx. 31 grams. The Large Snack Bag measures 21 x 19 cm (LxW) and weights approx. 38 grams.

3. How many times can Snack Bags be reused?
Over and over. Just take good care of them by making sure that you don’t put sharp objects in there and that you clean them properly after use, and they will serve you for many years.

4. Can Snack Bags be used in the fridge and freezer?
Yes! The Snack Bags hold food in great condition in the fridge and freezer. We recommend not to store fresh meat and fish in there, as the Snack Bags are not air-tight.

5. How long does food stay fresh in Snack Bags?
Prep your bread or crackers in the morning and they will still be crunchy and fresh for your lunch break. Take a sliced apple on a trip and it will not turn brown for hours. Freeze fresh fruits for your smoothie and they will be fresh for at least a month. Depending on the food you have in there, it will serve you in the same way as a single use plastic bag, just without the single-use!

6. Are Snack Bags suitable for all types of food?
The Snack Bags can be used for almost all foods. Even messy stuff like mayonnaise and pizza slices are holding up great! However, we don’t recommend using them for storing fresh meat and fish. Also it’s recommended to avoid excessively wet items like slices of pickles.

7. Can I store liquids in the Snack Bags?

No, the Snack Bags are not waterproof. They are leak-proof, meaning that you can store moist items in there without problems. Please avoid storing excessively wet items in there. You’ll save yourself some mess.

8. How do I clean my Snack Bags?
You can wash your Snack Bags by hand using warm water and dish soap. They also can be cleaned in the dishwasher (top rack) or in the washing machine (30 degrees). It is recommended to turn them inside out when washing and to rinse excessive food leftovers off before washing.

9. Are Snack Bags dishwasher safe? 
Yes they are. Put them in the top rack and please make sure you don't wash them together with leftovers like bolognese sauce, as the inner material of the Snack Bags could take on color of that.

10. Do Snack Bags shrink after washing?
No. They stay perfectly in form after each wash. Just make sure you don’t wash them with too hot temperatures (see washing recommendations).

11. Do Snack Bags lose color after washing?
No. Due to the material and the printing the Snack bags will not lose color after washing.

12. What is the best way to dry my Snack Bags?
We recommend to hang dry them inside out. What also works is putting them over an empty glass to dry, as the glass keeps the bags open and allows air to flow in. 

13. I am a company. Can I customize my Snack Bags?

14. I am a customer. Can I customize my Snack Bags?
In order to ship our products to you as fast as possible, we produce our products in bulk. We cannot make any changes to them.


Shipping & Return

1. How long will it take for my order to arrive?
We ship your order 1 to 3 working days after order placement. Shipments within Germany are shipped with priority and should arrive the next working day. For international shipments, please follow the Track&Trace code which will be sent to you after shipment.

2. My order hasn't arrived yet, what should I do?
After order placement you will receive the tracking number with your shipping information. Track your parcel on the respective carrier website to follow your parcel. If you encounter any problems or delays please send us an email at info@the-sustainables.com.

3. Can I have my order delivered at a Packstation?
We do ship to Packstations, however, please make sure you always include the correct account number and the correct Packstation address. In case of an incorrect address or account number provided, we will not reship the parcel on our costs.

4. Do you ship worldwide?
We ship to a great number of countries. Please have a look at order checkout to see if we ship to your country.

5. How does sustainability reflect in your shipments? 
Our parcels are packed and shipped completely plastic free. We make sure that the size of the parcel suits the product, so we don’t have to use unnecessary filling materials. We make our parcels fit through your mailbox, which decreases the back-and-forth shipping when you are not at home to receive your parcel.

6. How much are the shipping costs?
Within Germany the shipping costs are €2.55, outside of Germany it's €6.95.

7. And the return costs?
We accept returns up to 30 days and you will get a full refund for the products. However, we ask you to bear the costs for the return shipment yourself.

8. How do I return a parcel? 
Only unused and unopened products can be returned. If you wish to return, please send an email to info@the-sustainables.com with your order number (you can find this on the packing slip or order confirmation email) and the return reason. You will receive a confirmation email, but you don't have to wait for the confirmation in case you want to return your package already. Please ship your return to:

We leave it up to you if you want to return your parcel tracked, in case the parcel gets lost in shipment and you are unable to provide us a tracking number, a refund will not be granted.

9. When will I receive a refund?
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If accepted, the credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 14 days.

10. Can I exchange a product?
We don’t have an exchange policy, but you can return unused and unopened products within 30 days and order a new one.
