DIY: PLASTIC FREE HANDSOAP

Make your own plastic-free hand soap with only 3 ingredients!

You need:

- 300ml. water

- 15gr. Savon de Marseille

- 10 drops of your favorite essential oil (we used lavender)

* Optional: 1 tbsp castor oil

* Optional: 1 tbsp apricot kernel oil

Bring the water to boil in a saucepan. Always put the lid on the pan to cook faster and use less energy!

While you wait until the water boils, grate the soap with a grater.

When the water boils, remove from the stove and add the grated soap. Stir until the soap is fully dissolved.

Let the mixture rest for at least 6 hours.

After cooling, you can add the desired amount of essential oil and pour the soap into a reusable soap dispenser. Voila!

Savon de Marseille is a soap bar made from natural ingredients (if you have the original!). It is used a lot for natural cleaning products, but with water it is also the ideal hand disinfectant.

The smell is also "natural" so to speak, so we are happy to add some of our preferred essential oils.

For extra care, we sometimes add castor oil and apricot kernel oil. These oils provide a lot of moisture and prevent inflammation and dryness.

With these five ingredients you have perfection among natural hand soaps!
